The Plan of Happiness (written by Dwight)

In this grove of trees Joseph Smith saw God the Eternal Father and his Son Jesus Christ
They revealed that there needed to be a restoration of the fullness of the gospel
Joseph Smith through the gift and power of the Priesthood restored the gospel with the authority of the prophets of old restored to him in the Kirtland Temple. the saints made the way westward and the gospel was restored line upon line precept upon precept. They eventually settled for a season in the beautiful city of Nauvoo Illinois Where the first endowments and Sealing ceremonies were given to those worthy of Temple blessings.
In this new version of the Nauvoo Temple , those same ordinances are given  to worthy members of this church and those who have passed beyond the veil to the spirit world. We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is being preached to those who have passed that have not yet received the gospel. In the Temple , ordinances for the dead make it possible for them to attain eternal life. For those that receive the ordinances in life , they covenant with Heavenly Father and he in return covenants with them. If we live worthy of these covenants he will bless us with eternal life.

In the San Diego Temple on March 10, 2001 I started my Eternal Family . I was sealed to my wife for time and eternity. Together we have been blessed with the most amazing children and look forward to learning so much more in this life. Thanks to the Savior of the world , though I am not perfect, the covenants I have made in the Temple, at baptism , and through Priesthood authority. I can be made whole through his love and grace. It is up to me to live as his disciple and strive to be like Him. I eagerly await my meeting with him , but pray that I will yet tarry here among my loved ones for a long time.  Until such time I will love my family and all those who I come in contact with as I love my father in heaven.

These past two weeks have been very difficult for my family. Though I know my sister has made the same covenants as I have. She now dwells in the spirit world with my Dad, Sister, 2 Grandpas, and a Grandma. I know she now carries on the work of preaching the gospel to those who have gone before. One day, I will stand next to her again and give her a hug. Then I will tell here how glad I am that she had an influence on my life. She was an example of  a good wife, a temple worthy member, and a big sister. In the spirit world she will be a missionary, a daughter, and sister. Until that time when I meet her again, I will hold my kids a bit tighter and love my wife more affectionately. And when I am called again to my Savior I hope to hear him say " well done thou good and faithful servant. thou hast been faithful over a few things. I shall make thee ruler over many things"

Until we meet again Deanna, know that I love you and miss you.

I am grateful to know that through the savior I can be forgiven, through his love and Atonement I can return to my Father in heaven. And through the great Plan of Salvation, My family can be sealed together forever to be reunited after death, never again to be divided. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
