We Made it Through the Week
Sometimes that's a big accomplishment. It was just one of those weeks. After my horrible day on Wednesday I just had my fingers crossed to live through the week without the stomach flu. Drum roll please....... it didn't happen. Late Thursday night it hit. I won't divulge the dirty details. But, it wasn't until Saturday morning that I felt like I was going to actually live through it. After, what was one of the hardest nights ever on Thursday though I received some much needed love on Friday. My hubby worked from home. I slept most of the day. I woke up for a short time in the afternoon when my husband showed me we received a package from my sister Lise. :) Who doesn't love a package. The kids were so excited. It was so fun to open it. It was taped really good!!!! Dwight just about tore the entire package apart, good thing there wasn't anything fragile. She sent us some some really fun stuff including gift cards. We love gift cards. She sent the kids Target gift cards. They wanted to immediately leave and go shop til they dropped. We made it to Target on Saturday afternoon and they were thrilled to choose something for themselves. Bear told me about a million times to make sure I call Aunt Lise and tell her thank you! He makes me smile. I had already sent her a text thanking her. But, I know she visits me here on my blog sometimes. So, thank you, thank you, thank you Lise!!!! I will try to remember to take pictures of them with their choices so you can see. You made my stomach flu day a little brighter and my kids will be happy for days and weeks to come. We love you! That evening my hubby took the kids to a movie and let me rest some more. First he brought me crackers, ginger ale, and my second set of roses for the week. :) It's good to be loved. I also got a birthday card from my mom in law. :) Good news, I am feeling much better and ready to visit my free birthday food spots tomorrow with just slight trepidation. :) The rest of the family is on the mend as well. Fingers crossed. Have you seen the movie Contagion? Wash your hands and don't touch your face. Thanks for checking in on us.
