Gracie joined the swim team the beginning of March. After just 3 weeks of practice (a week off for spring break) she had her first swim meet. It was her first time racing, her first time diving off a starting block, and her first time starting to a buzzer. She was a little nervous and had a lot of nervous energy. She could not sit still. She LOVED it though. After her first race, she was smiling from ear to ear and had so much adrenaline. She did great. She has beautiful swim strokes. She decided not to do butterfly, she didn't feel ready for it. So, she swam 50 yards of freestyle, then the 50 yard backstroke, and the 50 yard breaststroke. She is an amazing little swimmer. My mom came to cheer her on. I love taking my mom to the kids sporting events. She cheers for them and is so proud of them. My kids are so lucky to have Grandma Dee Dee in our home. Gracie's siblings were very excited for her too. What a happy life. Great job Gracie. We are so proud of you!!!!!! We love you!!!!!!
