December Post #3

One of my very favorite activities in December was our Nutcracker performance. It turned out AMAZING! It was so fun for our family! We attend a small in home dance studio. Gracie has danced there for the last couple of years. Savannah decided she wanted to dance too. This was her first semester. The dance teacher asked if my hubby would be willing to be Dresselmeyer for the winter recital. Of course he agreed whole heartedly. Any reason to wear a cape and he's in (ok, I might be exaggerating  his enthusiasm a bit). She also asked if my boys would participate as the mice. Bear was the mouse king. They were so excited! My kids love performing! They love costumes. Savannah was a party girl and a peppermint. Gracie was the star of the show playing Clara. I did not perform. :) But, I made a lot of costumes. I made a growing tree with one of my friends (can't even believe I don't have a picture of it). It grows from 6ft to 12ft, and it is really pretty. I was so proud of us. I also made a candy land back drop. It was a lot of fun and so rewarding for our family!

We are so blessed to have the most amazing friends around us who help provide us with these amazing experiences. I'm so thankful! Love my little family more that words can express!
