November 2016 Oz

We have had some incredible experiences doing plays with our Co-op. We spends hours upon hours, days upon days, and months upon months preparing. I am so proud of all the kids. They worked so hard and their performances were amazing! We moms made some pretty fantastic costumes and sets too! Very fun!
What a great group of kids!
I made this fun little photo back drop for the lobby! Cute!
Savannah was an amazing Dorothy. Her stage presence is great! She is a natural. Her voice is fantastic! I am such a proud momma. She LOVES performing!

One of my very favorite photos of my kiddos
One with me too to prove that I was there. I help as a stage hand for the shows. My theater make up skills are getting pretty good.

My friend Brandis did our photos. She is AH-MAZ-ING! She photoshopped those yellow bricks!

Bear was a really cute tin man. He had a little song and dance. He did great memorizing his lines and performed flawlessly. So proud!

Isn't our program so professional looking. That silhouette is from a picture of our kids. I sorta love it. My hubby printed programs in color for us too!! Very cool.
Gracie was NOT excited to be the wicked witch. She had played Cinderella though and it was other girls turns to play the pretty, happy, magical characters. It was her turn to be the bad guy. It was a huge challenge for her. We ended up going a direction with her character that was very vain in a beautifully wicked way. She had tons of attitude and sass. It was perfect for her and she ended up LOVING it! her song and dance was super cute. She learned she can do hard things and I am so proud of her.
Because I am catching up blogging so long after this happened I can't find all my pictures. Sigh. So, I can't currently find pictures of all of Gunnar's costumes. This was a really fun play for him though! He was the head munchkin, a fighting tree, a chine doll boy and the monkey king. The munchkins rapped. It was hilarious and one of my favorite parts. He memorized all his lines easily and did such a great job.

One of our favorite things about doing plays is the time that we get to spend with our co-op friends. This is really where their friendships grow and strong bonds are made. We are so blessed to have a group of families with such similar views and values. We love our co-op family.
