March Field Air Museum

Last week on Friday, we went on an outing with CAVA to the March Field Air Museum. It is right up the freeway from our house and every time we pass it the kids yell, "look at the air planes," so it was nice to actually go see the airplanes up close. I decided to bring Bear along because I thought he would like the air planes. But, he was more interested in throwing rocks and playing in the sand. He was difficult. The girls were very good though and learned a lot from our tour guide, a retired military war veteran. There was a man there who was a pilot in WWII. He flew 32 missions, in a bomber when he was only 21 years old. It was a good reminder for me of the sacrifice that so many men and women make so that we can live in a free country. I am so thankful for our military.
Here's Bear inside of a bomber. This is where they load the bombs. Luckily it's empty.

This is Bear as Amelia Earhart. Don't tell him she's a girl.
Here is my super Bear, future pilot. (I really hope not, that would terrify me.)
Here are Gracie and Savannah, standing by the wheels of the bomber. They are almost as tall as the tires. Bear got a lot more pictures because I was constantly chasing after him. The girls were so good.
