Just For Me (and for them)

The last seven years my life has physically been dedicated to my children. I have either been pregnant or nursing constantly. The rest of my life will continue to be dedicated to them but now my body is my own. I stopped nursing Gunnar 6 or 7 months ago and I am finally starting to feel like the hormones are leaving and I'm back to my normal self. So I decided that it was time to do something for myself. So I joined Weight Watchers and I've been walking in the morning. It has thrown off some of my other daily chores but I'm gradually adjusting. I really like Weight Watchers. It doesn't really affect my family. I am basically just eating smaller portions and making better choices. So I went to my meeting tonight and weighed in. I've lost 13.4 pounds in three weeks. I feel really good about that. I am fully aware that it will slow down. But, I feel like this is a program that I can live. I don't feel like I'm on a diet. So it is totally for me and my health and my self image, but it is also for my family, for a healthier happier wife and mother.

Thanks for the Just do it post. I love the gospel too. I am so thankful for my relationship with my Savior.
