Sacred Ground
On Saturday our family attended the groundbreaking for the Gilbert AZ temple. It is so exciting. We parked at a park across the street. There were tons of others saints arriving at the same time. There were huge crowds walking across the sidewalks and streets towards the temple site. I loved the feeling of being surrounded by so many members. Living in CA my entire life, I've never experienced living in a place with so many members. I loved the feeling of fellowship and strength as so many members were gathered together. There were 5,000 chairs set up. We were lucky enough to get 4 of the last few chairs open. There were tons of people standing behind the chairs as well. I don't know how many people showed up but there were a lot!!! I love singing hymns with thousands of members. The spirit was so strong. I am so excited to watch the temple be built. It's about 2 miles from our home. What an incredible experience and blessing for our little family to be part of. My kids are so excited to go to the open house and to be able to walk through the temple. I'm thankful to have the gospel in my life and for all the joy it brings. I'm especially grateful to know that I am sealed to my family forever. That we can be an eternal family! I'm so thankful for the blessings of the temple.
