The Egg Drop and sleepy kids

This week at school the first graders did the EGG DROP. Savannah came home from school the week before spring break with the assignment. They were to design a contraption to protect an egg dropped from the roof from breaking. It could be no bigger than a shoe box. So fun right!!!! Savannah and Dwight got to thinking and did some practices. In the end they used some packaging from my sewing machine box. The white foam stuff. There was a hole the perfect size for an egg. They covered it and taped it. Then there was some card board on the sides and tons of plastic bags shoved in the zip lock baggy. Then more tape. It was great. The principal and vice principal came and dropped the kids eggs from the roof while we all watched. They would yell out the child's name before they dropped it. So fun!!! There were some really great ideas. My favorite were the parachutes. Well, Savannah and her Daddy did a great job, her egg SURVIVED the drop. Not a crack. Yay Savannah!!! She was so excited. There were 6 other kids in her class who's eggs survived. Pretty impressive

.
Some picts from spring break. My kiddos slept downstairs on the couch nearly everyday. They love to stay downstairs and fall asleep watching a movie. They call it a campout. I love them. They are such great kiddos.
