When I went to curriculum night last week Bear's teacher showed me a paper he had done that she displayed in the classroom with several others. The assignment was a thinking map. You write a topic in a circle and then write words along the outside of the circle to brainstorm what you will write about. The first graders draw pictures and write simple words to go along with them and then make a paragraph out of the thinking map. Anyways, they were assigned to do a thinking map on themselves.
In the middle of the circle was "Bear". Then around the outside he had drawn pictures to describe himself. I don't remember all of the pictures. A bat and baseball, a super hero, and a picture of movies (my boy LOVES movies). Then on the bottom was a big pink heart! He wrote "loving" under it. My little heart swelled. My little boy is proud to be "loving". His teacher of course thought it was so cute for a 6year old boy to describe himself as loving. He is though. Such a "loving" boy. A hundred times a day I hear...."Who loves you the most mommy?", and I reply, "Who Bear?" " I do mommy, I love you the most!". I love my big old Bear, such a "loving" boy. And naughty sometimes too.
