Only 11 days

Wowzers, only 11 days until Thanksgiving. We are having Thanksgiving dinner here at our home. We will have my brother Joe and his wife and kiddos and some of Dwight's family that live close by probably. We are having all the traditional foods. I am excited to get together our menu this week and start shopping and planning. Oh yummy. I also will make a pretty table. We will use nice dishes and have a some what formal dinner. As formal as you can get with kiddos. Only 11 days.

Today, I am thankful for The Book of Mormon. I recently have felt the desire to be closer to my Father in Heaven. To feel the spirit in my life stronger and to try harder to do my Father's will. So, I decided to read the Book in Mormon in 30 days. I have never done it before. The fastest I have read it in the past is probably about 10 months. I am reading 18 pages a day. Today is day 7, I read through page 126 today. I never thought I was capable of this. It is time consuming. Depending on what time of day I read and who is home, it sometimes takes longer than other times. But, it definitely requires some planning. I have had more peace in my life though. I have been softer with my little family. I have felt my Father in Heaven's love for me. I have a stronger desire to follow him and to consult him in the decisions that I make. I testify that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. That it is a blessing for us to know of his word and plan for us. I have a few friends who visit my blog who are not members of our church. I encourage you, to read this book that I love so much. I know that you have a copy. :) If you somehow have misplaced it, you can click on button on my side bar that says I am a Mormon. You can read some of my testimony and on the mormon.org webiste you can request a copy of The Book of Mormon. On page 529, Moroni chapter 10 verse 4, it reads: "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincer heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost."  I give you my personal witness that I know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. That it can change your life. If you read it with a sincere heart, and ask Heavenly Father through prayer, the spirit of the holy ghost will witness to you, as it has to me.
