Savannah plays softball

We had an incredible fall softball season. It was Savannah's first time playing and Dwight's first time coaching. We were so blessed to have a really great team. The girls were great sports and we had two assistant coaches who were so dedicated and helpful. Because Dwight coached Savannah was able to pick our color and team name. My mom played softball on the Orange Lionettes many years ago. She traveled the world playing softball. She was a junk pitcher. Savannah was so excited that orange was available for her to choose. We were the Orange Lionettes. It was a great color for fall ball. The girls played great. We played in the championship game last night. It was so fun! They had music and introduced the girls over the loud speakers. They played the national anthem. It was like the big time. So fun! We came in 2nd. But, that was a huge accomplishment. The first place team had a player who was way out of  our league. She basically won the first place trophy on her own. We would have beat them without her. :) It was a great season!!!! I'm happy to have a little break for a couple of months to hunker down and study and have some family time at home.
My mom is in the back row the 4th from the left.
