My boy was baptized back in October. I finally loaded a few pictures from my camera. I wish that I would have done it earlier so that the memories were fresher but I want to document this special day. We were really excited that Grandma Jordan was able to come from Missouri. Uncle Joe and the kiddies and Aunty Marisela also came. I was so happy to have a few of my family members. Dwight's local family all came as well. We were able to have a special family baptism. They do stake baptisms here, so we had to get approval, but our bishopric was great and made special arrangements to accomodate our family coming from out of town. Shawn and Carey's new baby Andrew was blessed just after the baptism. Grandma Jordan gave the baptism talk, I did the holy ghost talk, Bear and I read the Three White "Ties" poem (adapted from the dresses poem), Dwight sang. It was such a great program. I felt so strongly that so many of our family members who have passed on were there with us. My hubby gave my sweet boy a beautiful blessing when he confirmed him a member of the church and Bear received the Holy Ghost. I was so happy to have so many of our family members there to stand in the circle for the blessing. It was just such a great day. The spirit was so strong. We all cried and laughed and loved. One of my best days.

Aunty Marisela and Bear. She made him the amazing tie from my wedding dress. It has a great B embroidered on the front and "from my white dress, love mom" on the back of the tie. We LOVE the tie. Just enough material left to make one for Gunnar. :)

About 5 minutes after the baptism was over, after I forced Bear to take a few pictures the boy collapsed on the chairs and instantly fell asleep. I thought he was just tired from such a big day. He ended up with a little stomach bug the next few days. It was so sad. I love this boy.
Bear loves being 8. He LOVES Cub Scouts. He is very aware of his decisions. He will come to me and tell me, "Mommy, because I'm 8 now, I better tell you what I did" ha ha. Then he'll tell me how he snuck an apple or hid something under his bed. He is so sweet and so good. I love him so much and I am incredibly grateful to be his mother.
Just a few of my favorites from his photo session. You can check it out
