We started our first day of the 2nd semester today. It was a sort of stressful day. I ended the day by looking at the calendar to count down to spring break. :) 10 weeks. We have a 4 day weekend in February that I am looking forward to also.
All four of my kiddos received straight A's on their report cards and earned a spot on the Honor Roll. I'm proud of their hard work. They are learning and progressing. They are happy and wonderful little people.
It is not an easy thing to home school 4 children. Especially on a program like the one I have chosen where each of them have different assignments and curriculum each day. It is very busy. It can sometimes be stressful. It is demanding. Sometimes I question why I am doing it. Other people question why and how I do it often. People tell me I must be very patient. I laugh at that. One of my worst qualities is my impatience. At this point in life however, we feel like it is the best choice for our family. I believe that our home is the best learning environment for my children. I am so thankful that I get to spend my days with my children. I'm thankful that I am able to see first hand the things they are learning and their accomplishments. I consider the opportunity to home school my children a great blessing and privilege. It's the hard things in life that are worth the most.
