We joined a home school co-op this year. It is a group of LDS families who home school their children. I really wanted my kiddos to have the opportunity to be friends with other kids who school at home like them. Kids that they have things in common with. I am really aware of their opportunities to socialize and feel really good about their social skills. I think it will be nice for them to build relationships with kids that have home school in common with them. We do a field trip once a month. Last week we went to the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix. It was amazing and I loved it. It is HUGE. There are displays from all over the world. You wear head phones and when you stand in front of the display it automatically plays music from that country. It also shows you which instrument is being played. Most of the instruments were in the physical display. The boys got a little bored with the displays. They LOVED the room down stairs at the end where they were able to play the instruments though. The girls loved the entire things. It's definitely something I would do again. Super fun and a great learning experience for the kids.
Selfie, because sometimes mom needs to be in the picture too. :)
