Bedtime is one of my favorite times of day. Not in the way you're thinking :) It is a time when my kiddos need me still. They can get ready themselves now, which is amazing! They brush their teeth and wash their faces themselves. They get their jammies on. They read their scriptures and say their prayers. But they cannot and will not go to bed without me coming to give them hugs and kisses. Sometimes I'm tired and I don't want to walk up the stairs. I'll want Dwight to do hugs and kisses. But, they will not accept that. It has to be mommy hugs and kisses. So, I remind myself how they're growing up, I remind myself that they may not even want my hugs and kisses for much longer. Then, I treck up the stairs. I spend a few minutes with each of them giving them lots of hugs and kisses. I tell them how much I love them. I wish them sweet dreams. Then, they go to sleep. They are incredible little people. They swell my heart and put a lump in my throat. I love being their mommy. I am so proud of who they are becoming.
Then I go back downstairs and watch television with my hubby for a little bit before I go to bed. I always check on them when I come back upstairs. Bear is always sleeping in some funny position. I took this picture of him the other night. What in the world? I used my flash. The boys didn't bat an eye lash. Sound asleep. He's gonna need a bigger bed soon. :)
