This is one of my favorite pictures of my babies. Look at those faces. Bear is 9 months, Savannah had just turned 2 and Gracie is 3 in this photo. My life was such a whirlwind at this stage. They are growing so fast. I remember as a child I didn't want to grow up. In primary they always told us how much Jesus loves the little children. I always wanted to be a little child so Jesus would love me. Of course now I know that Jesus loves me at any age. I have learned how life is a journey and every age and stage is a wonderful part. I can't imagine a stage of life being better than where I am now. My kiddos fill my life with love and joy. Last week my Gracie came home from school crying. A boy told her she was weird because she was wearing a Hello Kitty watch. I was mad at him and so sad for my girl. We talked about how it doesn't matter what other people think. Sometimes that is so hard. We talked about how she is wonderful, beautiful, smart, and so good. Savannah was angry and told her next time to come find her. Savannah has so much self confidence and loves herself no matter what any one says. She will stand up to anyone for anything she believes in. How do I give that to Gracie? She will be 10 next week. Her friends all have keys to their houses. They go home from school to an empty house. They have cell phones and hang out at the mall. Fourth Graders!!!! They don't believe in "childish" things and they know far too much of the world. My girl is caught between this world she is faced with everyday and trying to be the girl she knows she should be even though it is different than her friends. I just keep reminding her of her great worth. I hope that she can find it within herself to realize how great she is. If she can have just a glimpse of what I see in her. I also might have told her to tell the boy how smokin hot she is going to be in a couple of years and how she will tell him "as if". :)
