Saturday was the much anticipated Little League Day at Diamond Back Stadium. We were all so excited and we had a great time. The boys had to be there 30 minutes early to line up before the parade. It was unfortunately a hot day. I think it got to 104 in Phoenix and they were lines up outside the stadium during the hottest part of the day. They survived the heat though and were so cute in the parade. The girls and I sat inside the nice cool stadium watching batting practice while we waited. We had great seats. A lot of baseballs came our way during batting practice. The girls were scared. :)
Here are the boys getting ready for the parade. The prettiest, sweetest little girls ever!!!
Our seats. Notice how the stadium roof is closed. :)
The boys marching on the field.
The boys on the big screen. See all those blue uniforms.
Me and m little girls in our Dodger gear.
The closed roof. A great 76 degrees inside the stadium until just before the game started and they decided to open it. The entire crowd groaned. What were they thinking?!? It actually was still pretty cool though and a beautiful day for baseball.
They have great play areas at the stadium. The big kids were too tall to play in the play ground. But, Gunnar thought it was amazing!!!! The big kids got to play baseball in a little field. That was fun. There was kind of a long line. But, we could see the game from the line.
Savannah loves baseball. She wants to be in softball next season. She is going to be amazing. She has natural ability, from her Grandma Dee Dee. I guess it skipped a generation. :)
The fam at the stadium. I love them!
My boys were exhausted. What a fun day for them!
The open roof.
Me and my honey on our way out. I love him!
Dwight took these two pictures of the boys with his phone while they were waiting outside. I love the way the flash brightens their little faces. Some of Dwight's team waiting to go parade. We have a really great group of boys. We are soooo thankful to be surrounded by such good people who are supportive and love their little boys!
What a great day!
