California, Day 1

What more can I say. California is our home. We miss it. We go as often as we can. We had been planning this trip for a couple of months. We were beyond excited. The kids and I had been saving all our pennies. :) We also had been going for walks in the morning before school to build up our endurance for long days at Disneyland.

The first day always consists of the drive. It's not horribly long, but long enough to not really look forward to it. I always fall asleep. :) The kids are amazing little car riders. They read, or listen to music, or watch a movie. Bear just looks forward to gas station stops and some sort of treat. He's totally motivated by food. :)

We didn't really want to stop because we were anxious to be in Orange county but hunger got the better of us. We stopped in Mo Val near our old stomping grounds for dinner at Portillo's. We really like their beef sandwich.
The kids were happy to be out of the car and really in silly moods.

We left in the afternoon so that Dwight didn't have to use an entire vacation day. By the time we got to the hotel it was late and the kiddos were ready for bed. Even more ready to wake up in the morning and go to Disneyland. There was so much excitement in that little hotel room. We had view of Disneyland from our window. They stared out and talked about which rides they wanted to do first. What a happy day. All worries swept away for the moment. Perfect, wonderful, family memories.
My favorite little people, four kiddos to a bed. I love these little people. I'm so thankful for their goodness. They are really fun too. Exhausted and dreaming sweetly of Disney fun to come.
