My Bear

Dwight Milton Jordan III, better known as BEAR was born October 5, 2004. He was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange. I had the best nurse, named Lisa I think. She was with me in prep, during my surgery and in recovery. She let me keep Bear with me the entire time. He was born with tons of black hair. He was a really good baby. The first month he nursed probably 20 hours a day. I would sleep in my rocker with him laying on my boppy pillow nursing. We were really excited to have a boy after two girls. I was really surprised by the different emotional connection that I had with him instantly as a boy. His sisters were instantly in love with him too. His second and third years of life were really challenging. He was into everything and soooo demanding. For the sake of his future I won't further expand on his difficulties. : ) The last six months he has become a true joy. He is sweet and helpful. He is such the mama's boy. He is 100% boy. He loves to rough house. He loves all super heroes. Lately he's on a real batman kick. He loves his sisters. He fights with his brother a lot. I hope they will learn to appreciate each other as they get older. He loves sunbeams. He says the sweetest prayers. He is rough and tough and soft and sweet. The perfect combination of a boy. He is off the charts in size. He's going to be a really tall man. He is a big teddy bear. I am so thankful to be his mother. He brings my life so much joy. Happy Birthday to my Bear.
