The Dentist from Hell

That's right, you read it, I said "H", "E" double hockey sticks. So, I 've been having a little pain in my tooth for a couple of months, and have been trying to ignore it since we have no medical insurance. Well, unfortunately for me on the morning of New Year's Eve I started having some serious pain. I'm talking my tooth was ready to give labor pain. So I started calling around to see if anyone would be in the office. Well of course no one was there. But, the next day, yes New Year's Day, I had a dentist office call me back and schedule me for Saturday morning. I was shocked it being a holiday weekend and relieved that my pain would find an end. Well, the dentist office was Campus Dental. It was horrible, awful, miserable terrible!!! Are you getting the point. He told me I needed 3 root canals. I told him I just wanted the one that was bothering me. Then of course the price that was advertised and that they quoted me over the phone went up. They kept pushing me to do these other two root canals. I told them no. So he started the root canal, there was this one spot that kept bothering me as he was drilling and I kept telling him it was hurting. He didn't seem to care and then said that he was done and put in a temporary filling and told me to come back on Monday. So, first thing Monday morning I started searching for another dentist. I ended up going to Crossing Dental. They did my exam and xrays and told me that I just needed that one root canal. One of the other teeth did have a small cavity but the other tooth that Campus Dental was pushing me so hard to get a root canal on, didn't even have a cavity. So today I went and finished the root canal @ Crossing Dental. They were really good and were great about helping me with payment plans and prices since we don't have insurance. So just to be very clear....Don't go to Campus Dental!!!!! They will hurt you and steal your money.

good to know. I need to go to the dentist, but dont have insurance either. I am actually planning on going to Loma Linda where they have the students work on patients at very low prices. Their professors are there watching and though I heard it takes a lot longer, they are efficient and best of all cheap.
