We got a new to us van. I don't have a picture. It's a silver 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. It is used with 25,000 miles. I love it. It has automatic everything. You just push a button and doors open or close, it might as well have auto pilot. If only. It also has a DVD which of course my children are thrilled about. I'm mostly excited to feel safe and not be afraid that I'm going to break down. So, so thankful!
Happy Birthday to me on the 20th, I turned 33. Dwight and I went to our favorite steak restraunt Ruth's Chris and stayed a night away in Scottsdale @ a hotel. Nice get away. I had a great birhtday. By the way, I rocked those candles, blew them all out in one breath!
We unfortunately had to get rid of our beloved Lou Lou. I jokingly would call her the ferocious beast because Gunnar was afraid of her. But she increasingly became more and more agressive with my kiddos. She was completely afraid of strangers. When I took her to the vet for booster shots she growled horribly and lunged at him. She would growl if you touched her while she was sleeping and you couldn't take things away she was chewing on if you wanted to keep your hand. She ended up biting Gunnar pretty badly. He has a little arm so her little mouth got all the way around his wrist. It broke the skin and bruised pretty bad. We love her and will miss her so much. The girls and I cried horribly in the car while Dwight took her in. My sweet hubby felt so badly, he immediately took my kiddos to the pet store and bought a guinea pig.
We named him Hurly after the guinea pig in G Force. I am afraid of him. I will pet him if Gracie is holding him but I will not hold him. He has red eyes! It creeps me out. Gracie loves him though.
My hubby really wanted to wait a little while to get another dog. He is concerned that my kiddos aren't ready for a dog and that their fear added to Lou Lou's problems. But, I want a puppy and I want it now. I typically win because my hubby loves me so much. :) Here is the puppy that I just put a deposit on. I took the kiddos to play with mom and dad dog. They are so sweet and great with the kids. That is one of the mistakes I made with the first dog. I found out after the fact that Lou Lou's dad was bad with strangers and grumpy when sleepy. She was a chip off the old block I guess. Any hoo, here is our new puppy that we will pick up in a couple of weeks. She is a Shi poo. She is so cute and so sweet. I am so hopeful that it will work out. She is my last puppy hope.
Gracie has to wear a patch for 3 hours a day for a couple of months in hopes to help her lazy eye enough that we can prevent surgery until she is a little older and her vision is a little more mature. We got some super cute patches though. If you have to wear one, you might as well do it in style. I took Savannah to the doctor today because she has a little bump under her eye and the doctor tested her for strep because she said she had "strep breath". She tested positive and so the doctor had me bring the other kids in to test them. All four kiddos are positive for strep. They don't have any symptoms though. My mom, Patty, Dwight and I all have doctors appointment on Monday to be tested as well. We can't seem to get rid of strep throat. It is our nemesis. Hopefully, we can figure it out this time and get us all treated at once so we don't pass it around any more.
Besides the strep we are well and happy. We are blessed. I am thankful for my life. Thanks for checking in on us.

Check out breeds too. Smaller breeds tend to be more aggressive with kids. Before getting our dogs I did a lot of research about which kinds were the most family friendly. That's why we got our lab and golden. They were wonderful with kids. They would stick their hands in their mouth, poke their eyes, ride them, pull their tail and the dogs would take it and lick them afterward. They were so sweet... I just couldn't walk them and exercise them enough with my baby. I miss them.
