Strep Throat

I took Savannah to the doctor on Friday morning because she has a little bump below her eye that is growing. The doctor noticed when we were there that her breath smelled like strep throat. :( Yuck! Dr. tested her and it was positive, so because of our history with strep with Bear's thumb and Patty's finger the doctor had me go pull all of the kiddos out of school and rush back to have them all test. All four kiddos positive for strep throat. Since they would be contagious for atleast 24 hours after starting the atibiotics she told me to keep them home for the weekend. Nothing like four kids quarantined in a house for the weekend. We survived though. We watched movies, played board games, and ate popsicles. My house is destroyed from kids home too long. But, I am reminding myself today that the mess are signs of happy children and I will catch up as the week goes. on. The adults of our home are all starting on antibiotics today as well. So, the disenfection will begin on the house again on Wenedesday when everyone is officially not contagious. Everyone will get new toothbrushes and I will bring out the hospital wipes that you have to wear gloves to use. Will we ever kick this strep throat bug? Arizona has been hard on our health.

We are a happy family though! I continue to count my many many blessings on our 60 fingers and 60 toes.
