Not the Happiest Place on Earth, but Happy None the Less

One of the saddest things about Arizona is that there is no Disneyland.  After living in Cali our entire lives and after having Disney passes for our kids entire lives, we have serious Disneyland withdrawals. There is no replacement for it and we need a Disneyland trip soon, but here in the desert sun the kiddos and I have been going to the zoo a lot lately. It's no Disneyland, but it's fun. We get some exercise, see some animals, learn a lot, and we love being together. Some of our favorite things at the Phoenix zoo are the Komodo Dragons, the Bears, the paddle boats, the camel rides, and feeding the sting rays. Sometimes this month the water features will be turned on and the kids will be able to cool off.  We especially love going to the zoo with my brother Joe and his kiddos. We also went this month with Bear's old 1st grade class, which was fun and took a trip with some friends from church. It may not be the Happiest Place on Earth, but it's happy.
