8 years old means cub scouts in our little world. Bear has been so excited. My mom was a big scouter in her day. So, I grew up with boy scouts as my baby sitters and scouting constantly in our home. My brother Joe was a very decorated Eagle. I have an appreciation for scouts and the things that the program teaches. Bear went to his first scout meeting which was a Pack meeting last week. He was so excited. He already has memorized the cub scout promise, the law of the pack, and the cub scout motto. He knows the handshake and the solute. He works with my mom every day to learn the things he needs to know and is excited for some fun badges. Scouting will be a fun experience for our family over the next several years. He is so handsome in his uniform.
