Gunnar turns 6

My baby boy turned 6 years old on October 4th.

We start birthday here at Joe's Farm Grill with a free birthday meal. They have really delicious waffles.

 Gunnar is really into Disney Cars right now. So, he had a totally cars birthday. He told me to just pick any toys for him, as long as they were Cars or Mickey Mouse. :)

 Wow that's a lot of presents. Somebody must really love him. :)

His oh so cool Cars cake

Gunnar is such a sweet 6 year old. He is still a mama's boy. He loves to play with friends. He is very social. He makes friends anywhere we go. He is very thoughtful of others and kind. He loves to be tickled. He loves the color green. He wants to be a race car driver when he grows up. He's excited to be a missionary. He plans on taking care of me when I get old. I get to live with him and help take care of his kids. :) He is in kindergarten and is learning so much so fast. He is a great student. He is learning to read and we just started sight words. He is really good at sounding words out. He makes me such a happy mama. He loves hugs and kisses. He melts me. His big blue eyes are so kind. Just before bedtime on his birthday I was sitting on the couch watching tv. He came over and gave me the biggest hug. Without any prompting said, "Thank you Mommy for making this the best Birthday ever." I am so grateful to be his mommy, to have the honor of teaching him and learning from him. I'm grateful for the joy that he brings into our home. The world is a better place because he is in it.
