Daddy Daughter Sock Hop---Mommy Son movie night

The day that they announced at church that there was going to be a Daddy Daughter Sock Hop my little girls came home so incredibly excited!!! I love excitement. I love anticipation. I think it's a huge part of the fun of an event. So, I really try to encourage anticipation. I try to make things fun for my kiddos. We made a really big deal out of the Sock Hop. My girls wanted fabulous poodle skirts. I had never made one before, so I started searching online. I found a great tutorial (I'll post it when we're home, the internet is slow here at the hotel). We found really cute poodles and worked hard to figure out how to make fabulous leashes. (ribbon doesn't work) I love my little girls so much and am so thankful for their enthusiasm for life. My hubby was such a good sport. We even went and bought him a pair of shoes at the converse outlet. He was a little embarrassed with his jeans rolled. But, he rocked that 50s look. They dances a ton and Daddy even flipped Gracie a lot!! Savannah was too scared. :) They had ice cream floats and took pictures and framed it on a little record. It was decorated super fun too. My little girls had a great night!!!! Now they are all ready for Halloween too!

The boys and I decided to have a mommy/son night at home. We watched a movie and ate way too many sweets. I love them! We have such a blessed life.
