Having the Gilbert temple built so close to our home has been an incredible blessing. We attended the ground breaking shortly after we moved here. We have been watching the temple go up excitedly. We visited the construction trailer often for updates and to just be close to the temple. We have several small pieces of the temple. (Material used to build temple) The kids loved then open house. It is such such a magnificent building. After watching it be built they were so excited to walk through those doors. It was incredible. We went several times. Gracie participated in the Temple Cultural Celebration. It was a fantastic opportunity for her to be in the presence of our great prophet. She sang and danced with all her heart in the pouring rain. She came home totally soaked through with the biggest smile and sweetest spirit about her. The three bigger kids were able to attend the temple dedication also. It was such a sweet experience for me as a mother to sit with them as the temple was dedicated. Gracie and and I have been going in the mornings often to do baptisms. She loves it. I love to watch her. There is no greater joy than seeing my children thrive and grow in righteousness. We love the Gilbert temple.
