Very deep breaths

Just got home from the entire day at the hospital with Patty. Insert very deep breath here. Just home long enough to charge my phone quick, pick up a couple of things for Patty and get my mom to take her to the emergency room. Patty got an infection in her finger very similar to Bear's thumb. The two antibiotics that she's been taking at home are not working. They found out that it is group A strep, staph infection and they suspect MRSA as well. She got a picc line today and will be recieving IV antibiotics for 14 days. She is going to start at the hospital and will probably end up in a nursing facility within the next couple of days. Insert another very deep breath here. My mom has a large swollen lump in her upper arm. Of course because of her history or breast cancer that is where my mind jumps immediately. After speaking to her doctor today though she suspects that she probably has a strep infection in her arm. We have no idea what it is yet though. So now I'm off to take my mom to the er. Sad, stressful day. Trying to count my blessings. Oh, and take lots of very deep breaths. :)
